We're Back!

We arrived home from Seoul Korea yesterday (Saturday) afternoon. We are SO tired with the time zone change and 13 hour flight (on which I never slept -- going or returning home!). I think Isaac & I are coming down with a cold or virus, too...bummer!

The whole trip was amazing. Isaac is such a happy sweet little baby boy. He's so cute. He's kind of a petite little peanut---weighs 17 lbs. at 9 months old, but is very active! He crawls around like lightning...he loves music and holds himself up on the coffee table and 'dances'....He says Ohma (mom in Korean) and Ap-ba (Dad in Korean)...and after just a couple days is starting to say Da-Da.

He had some tummy issues in Korea before we arrived and had to see the doctor, but he's getting better from that...just this cold coming on now. Otherwise he is doing great...eating well, sleeping pretty good, considering all things (separation from his foster mom, all this change, etc) and did really good on the plane for a 9 month old on a 13 hour flight!

We are so blessed. I keep tearing up, looking at him sleeping -- thinking I can hardly believe he's really finally here! He's such a wonderful sweet little baby with the cutest smile I've ever seen. I'm so smitten!!

I hope to post more pics and details to our adoption blog soon. (I don't like to post personal pics on this blog to be on the open internet...I prefer to keep them on the private blog) Thought I might tonite, but I'm feeling pretty cruddy....so tired, and whatever I am coming down with has been making me so nauseus, dizzy and now a horrible sore throat.

We're kinda staying away from the phones, kinda laying low until we really settle in and feel better, and get our house in order. We have tons of laundry and organizing/straightening to do...and can only do a bit at a time...so bear with me.

Thanks for all the emails, support & love during this time. You don't know how much it means to me, and how much your friendship really helped me through the toughest parts of this process.
I love you all!

Yay, I am so happy for you! I bet you can't sleep because you can't stop looking at your sweet little boy! Try some Theraflu (the orange kind for Severe Cold/Flu) during the day because it will keep you going. And if Isaac has a fever, you can reduce it with Tylenol for kids. Just remember he may pick up stuff as he is in a new environment and there are different germs for him to get used to.

I wish we lived closer, I would so be there to help you and bring you a casserole so you didn't have to cook anything!

I am really happy for you my friend, you deserve all of this wonderful joy.

I'm so happy for you. Don't worry, he's a big guy. When we got my daughter at 15 months she was only 16 pounds!

Congratulations. Just enjoy this time. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I am just so happy for you and your handsome hubby. Little Isaac doesn't know it yet but he has one of the best mommy's and daddy's in the world. No worries he will know it soon enough.. I am just overwhelmed by all you have been through to have this wonderful child. Enjoy and feel better soon.. Expect a KY type gift from "Aunt Tammy and Uncle Ron" soon.

Love you guys
