Need a Stress Buster?! - Zestra Review & Giveaway

**Warning--Women's adult-oriented product review to follow.

You know, being a 40'ish stay at home mom can sometimes put a bit of a damper on a gal's mojo. I've got to admit--it does for me sometimes. After a lonng day of having yogurt slung in your eye, changing diapers and wiping drool, sometimes you feel a little less than sexy. Factor in the fun of perimenopause, which includes decreasing hormone levels and a body that's occasionally like a crock pot instead of a microwave (LOL--meaning it's a lot slower & takes longer to get hot) and you've got a bit of a buzz-kill on your libido some days.

Now, I don't usually talk about such intimate things on my blog, but I have a feeling I'm not the only one who enjoys a healthy sex life but thinks it could always be better. (...and whose husband would grin and agree!) That's where Zestra comes in. Zestra is an essential arousal oil for women. When I heard about this product I have to admit I became intrigued. So, when I was offered a chance to give it a try, I thought sure-why the heck not?!

I will admit, I was a bit nervous about applying a foreign substance to my lady business. I wondered if it would irritate my skin or burn. But when I read up on Zestra, I felt reassured by the natural ingredients. Per the website:

Zestra's unique, patented blend of botanical oils and extracts create deep pleasurable sensations. The botanical ingredients in Zestra include PA-free Borage Seed Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Angelica Extract, Coleus Forskholii Extract, Theobromine, and the Anti-Oxidants Vitamin C and Vitamin E. Zestra's botanical ingredients work together to safely and effectively enhance female sexual pleasure, sensation, sensitivity and satisfaction.

Zestra is basically an essential arousal oil. When topically applied, there is the Zestra Rush--a tingling, warming sensation that occurs within 3-5 minutes, peaks at 10 minutes and can last for up to 45 minutes. It is supposed to increase arousal and sensitivity to touch. This product is recommended for women on oral contraceptives, in the stages of menopause, on anti-depressants or who have a medical condition which inhibits sexual arousal. Zestra should not be used with latex Condoms. You can read all the FAQ’s on Zestra at their website. You can purchase Zestra online or at most Walmart, Target, K-Mart or Rite-Aid stores.

Our Experience
We used Zestra more than once.
The first time we used a full packet of Zestra. I felt the Rush within 1-2 minutes. Every person’s body and sensitivity level is different. For me, a full packet was too much - it caused an almost numbing, de-sensitizing effect. The “Finale” was magnified however.

After that, we used only half a packet of Zestra--and found this was just the right amount for me. Again, I felt the Zestra Rush within just 1-2 minutes, but Boom-Chicka-Wow-Wow! The level of sensation was incredible. We both enjoyed it. The “Grand Finale” was super intense and amazing!!! (Hubby says Hey! He had something to do with that! Heheh!)

Conclusion:
I liked how Zestra helped me shrug off my day as super mom, and heat right up for a sexy stress-buster with my hot hubby! The only thing we didn’t care for so much - is the smell of Zestra. The scent is not super sexy in my opinion. I guess the company can’t add too much fragrance or it would alter the results or the effect of Zestra on delicate skin perhaps. If it were up to me, however, I would suggest a mild, natural vanilla scent or just unscented. (My recommendation if you are sensitive to smells, as I am -- spritz your bed linens and/or body with your fave cologne or body spray prior to your romantic interlude. That’s always nice anyway).

I like that it is Clinically documented to be safe and effective. I also saw that Dr. Oz endorses it.
