Memorial Day Weekend...No rest for the weary!

Hope everyone had a fun, safe, relaxing Memorial Day weekend!

Since I had to work Friday, we didn't travel anywhere this year. We decided to stay home and work in the yard. We kinda slacked off in our gardening since Isaac came home in April 2009 and we decided now is the time to get back to work! We made several trips to the garden centers and ran some errands but mostly we were sweating fools! Especially hubby, as I had to entertain Isaac. It was so humid!

We really enjoy working outside and keeping our yard really nice. My goal is to continue adding more perennial beds, shrubs, and ornamental grasses. For now this is what we have out back....

This weekend, we're having Isaac's 2nd birthday party (although his actual birthday is on June 15th). We're doing a cookout and having 12 adults with 11 kids over. The forecast is now showing thunderstorms and rain! Grrr! I really don't want to try and pack this many people (and kids!) inside our house...so I am praying fervently for fair skies! (If you're spiritual and pray--please pray for us! Much Thanks!)

Well, the clock is a-tickin'.....does it ever stop? lol. Gotta dash to get Isaac dressed and ready for "Gool" (daycare) and myself for work. Things are going okay so far...just still struggling to find a new rythym and schedule for everything. Feeling like I have no time for myself....Gotta get creative and find it somehow!

Have a great Wednesday y'all.
