Hello, thanks for visiting my site!

I am a creative 1950's/retro-obsessed redhead. I am a wife and adoptive mom to a sweet little Korean boy and a big 75 pound, 6 year old lovey puppy, Lucie, my border collie/lab mix rescue dog. We recently added to our family by adopting another border collie mix puppy - Rocket, who is almost a carbon copy of Lucie! It's never a dull moment!

I hold a bachelors degree in Business Administration with a focus in Management and Human Resources. I'm a former insurance professional - turned stay at home mom when we brought our son home from Seoul, Korea in April 2009 - and recently turned Working Mom - when I returned to the working world in the field of HR again.

I enjoy shopping and finding bargains, meal planning and cooking for my family, and keeping a tidy, organized home. I collect 1950's antique furniture and decorative furnishings as well as some reproduction and new retro-modern items. I am also a junker at heart - love old rusty stuff and have recently started a "junk garden". My other hobbies include reading, the internet &social media, my Blackberry, digital photography, art journaling, scrapbooking, gardening, outdoor living, and traveling whenever possible.

My life has been about constant change. I'm just trying to adjust and roll with the changes in my life--to survive the suburbs & survive the toddler years of motherhood with my sanity and sense of humor in tact! It is my goal to find balance in life, faith, family and manage my household on a budget & still have fun!
